Chelsea FC — Last 6 matches
Arsenal — Last 6 matches

Chelsea and Arsenal arrive in the second leg with the first meeting already producing four goals, a 3-1 Arsenal win in London on 24 March. Chelsea’s recent sequence has also been lively, with four goals against Aston Villa, three against Arsenal and two against Brighton among their last six. That kind of scoring pattern gives the total a strong base, especially with the tie now asking Chelsea to push forward again.

Arsenal have been even more reliable for an open game. They have scored at least twice in each of their last six matches, including 5-2 against Tottenham and 5-0 against West Ham, while their Champions League meetings with Chelsea and Oud-Heverlee Leuven have also cleared this line comfortably. A projected 3-1 or 2-1 type score fits that pattern better than a low-tempo contest.

Chelsea do have enough attacking output to keep the game from flattening out, but their defensive record in this run is less secure. They have conceded in four of their last six, and in the first leg they allowed Arsenal three times despite having periods of pressure themselves. Arsenal’s run of 15 matches unbeaten also suggests they are unlikely to sit back and protect a narrow margin for long.

The one slight tension is that Chelsea’s home wins over Liverpool and Tottenham were controlled rather than chaotic, so there is always a chance the match starts more cautiously than the recent scorelines imply. Even so, the combination of recent head-to-head scoring, Arsenal’s six straight wins, and both sides’ current goal output points more toward another match with three or more goals than a cagey second leg.

My prediction is Over 2.5 Goals at 67/100. Arsenal have seen over 2.5 goals land in six of their last seven, Chelsea’s last six have included several high-scoring games, and their first leg finished 3-1. Chelsea have also failed to keep a clean sheet in four of their last six, which gives Arsenal room to contribute to the total again.
