Fatih Karagümrük — Last 6 matches
Eyüpspor — Last 6 matches

Fatih Karagümrük host Eyüpspor in the Trendyol Süper Lig on Saturday afternoon, 18 April 2026, with both sides staring at the wrong end of the table and feeling the pressure in a very real way. This isn’t a glamorous title race or a neat top-half scrap. It’s a survival fight, plain and simple. Karagümrük sit 18th on 20 points, Eyüpspor are just above them in 17th on 22, and this is the kind of game that can change the mood of a run-in in a heartbeat.

For Aleksandar Stanojević’s Karagümrük, the task is to turn decent home performances into points that actually move the dial. Eyüpspor, meanwhile, arrive under Atila Gerin with one of the bleakest runs you’ll see all season: seven league matches without a win and six straight defeats in all competitions. They’ve been leaking goals, struggling to control games, and losing the small moments that keep you afloat. That won’t do in a relegation dogfight.

There’s also a little history between these two. The most recent meeting ended 1-1 in Istanbul back in November, and both sides will know another draw wouldn’t do much for either of them this time around. Karagümrük need to stop the slide after last weekend’s heavy loss at Konyaspor. Eyüpspor need to find something, anything, that looks like a turning point. Right now, neither team looks comfortable. That usually means goals at both ends are in play.

Fatih Karagümrük Form & Analysis

Karagümrük’s recent league form has been a bit of a mixed bag, but at least there’s some life in it. They were thumped 3-0 at Konyaspor on 12 April, and the scoreline was ugly enough, yet the performance wasn’t a total collapse. Their xG of 1.53 compared with Konyaspor’s 1.25 tells you they created chances. They just didn’t take them. Before that, they beat Çaykur Rizespor 2-1 at home, which was a useful response after a narrow 1-0 defeat away to Kayserispor. There was also the excellent 2-0 home win over Fenerbahçe in mid-March, which still stands out as one of their better results of the campaign.

That’s the story with Karagümrük. They’re inconsistent, but not dead. They’ve won two of their last four league matches at home, and one of those was against Fenerbahçe, which gives the whole thing some substance. At their ground this season, they’ve managed four wins, three draws and seven defeats, scoring 14 and conceding 20. That isn’t the profile of a safe side. Far from it. But it does show they can make games awkward when they’re on the front foot, and they’ve at least been competitive enough to score in key home fixtures.

The broader numbers are harsher. Karagümrük have only 26 league goals all season and have shipped 51, which is a painful combination. Still, there’s something here for their own fans to cling to: they’ve gone three straight home matches in all competitions without a clean sheet, so the defensive side isn’t exactly solid, but the attack has been getting into games. That’s why this fixture feels open enough for them to land a punch. They’re not reliable. They’re just dangerous enough to be involved.

Eyüpspor Form & Analysis

Eyüpspor are in a mess. There’s no easy way to dress it up. Their last six matches have all ended in defeat, and each one has added a little more weight to the pressure on Gerin’s side. They lost 1-0 at Konyaspor in the cup, then fell 0-1 at home to Kocaelispor, 1-0 away to Kasımpaşa, 0-1 at home to Trabzonspor, 3-0 away to Antalyaspor and, most recently, 2-1 at home to Samsunspor. That’s six defeats, and the pattern is ugly: tight margins, no momentum, and too few goals.

The home loss to Samsunspor summed them up. They did at least score, with Metehan Altunbaş converting a penalty deep into first-half stoppage time, but they still looked fragile once the game stretched out. Samsunspor outshot them, kept the pressure on, and found the winner late on. The red card for Denis Radu didn’t help, sure, but the bigger issue is that Eyüpspor keep getting pulled into matches they can’t control. They’re not defending their box well enough, and they’re not offering enough at the other end either.

Away from home, the picture is even more worrying. Eyüpspor have collected only nine points on the road, with two wins, three draws and nine defeats, scoring just eight and conceding 22. Eight away goals in the league is a poor return by any standard. You simply won’t survive long putting up numbers like that. Can they keep it tight here? The recent evidence says no. They’ve failed to win any of their last seven league games and haven’t kept a clean sheet in six, so even a decent first half tends to unravel into something messy. That’s not the sort of travel record you want when the pressure’s on.

Head-to-Head

The latest meeting between these two finished 1-1 in Eyüpspor’s ground in November, and that result fits the tone of this pairing quite neatly. Neither side has really been able to impose itself for long stretches in this matchup, and the draw last time out suggests there isn’t a giant gap between them.

Go a little further back and the record is thin but split. Fatih Karagümrük beat Eyüpspor 2-1 in 2015, while Eyüpspor won 1-0 in 2016. So there’s no dramatic historical edge to lean on. The more relevant detail is simpler: both clubs are usually in the game against each other, and both have been conceding regularly. That points in one direction.

We Predict: Both Teams To Score

We’re backing Both Teams To Score at 5/6 for this one. It’s the cleanest angle in a match where neither side looks stable enough to keep a shutout. Karagümrük have scored in enough of their recent home games to suggest they’ll get a chance or two, and Eyüpspor’s away record is far too loose to trust. That 8-22 goals split on the road is hard to ignore. Ugly stuff.

The 1-1 correct score fits the shape of the fixture as well. Karagümrük’s home numbers aren’t strong enough to call them reliable winners, but they’ve got enough bite to trouble a side in freefall. Eyüpspor, for all their misery, still found a goal against Samsunspor last time out, and the most recent meeting between these clubs ended level. This feels like one of those games where both keep making the same mistakes. If you want a smaller alternative, the draw has some appeal too.
