Kerry FC — Last 6 matches
Cobh Ramblers FC — Last 6 matches

Kerry FC arrive after a mixed spell of one win, three draws and two defeats in their last six, while Cobh Ramblers have taken only one point from their last three league outings and were heavily beaten 4-0 at University College Dublin on 27 March. That away loss was a warning sign: Cobh conceded 19 shots, nine on target and 3.14 xGA, which fits a side that has struggled to keep opponents out all season.

Kerry’s own home numbers are modest rather than dominant, with one win, one draw and one defeat from three league games at home and just two goals scored in that run. Still, they have usually been the side drawing first blood, and they have also avoided turning games into shootouts too often at home. Cobh, meanwhile, have shipped seven goals in three away league matches and have gone seven straight without a clean sheet.

The head-to-head record adds another layer of caution for Cobh, with Kerry unbeaten in the most recent meeting at home and the sides sharing a 1-1 draw in September 2025. Even so, Kerry’s wider league profile is not overwhelmingly strong, and that leaves some tension around a straight home or away call. The safer angle is that Cobh’s away defensive record has been poor enough to keep them on the back foot again.

My prediction is Away Win at 7/5. Cobh’s away league record is still better than Kerry’s home output in terms of points, with one win from three on the road compared with Kerry’s one win from three at home, and the visitors have already shown they can score away from home. Kerry have been beaten in two of their last three, while Cobh’s latest defeat was severe but came against a much stronger-looking UCD side, so the price on the away side offers value despite the 1-2 projection looking fairly tight.

Kerry may well score, which is the main risk to an away-win bet, but Cobh’s broader edge in the fixture history and their ability to take points on the road tip the balance. Kerry’s home scoring has been limited, and Cobh’s previous away win plus Kerry’s recent loss pattern give the visitors enough to justify the pick.
