Motor Lublin — Last 6 matches
Raków Częstochowa — Last 6 matches

Motor Lublin welcome Raków Częstochowa to Ekstraklasa duty on Sunday afternoon, 12 April 2026, with both sides chasing a top-six finish and a stronger grip on the closing weeks of the season. Motor sit eighth on 38 points, just a step behind Raków in sixth on 39, so this isn’t some dead rubber between mid-table passengers. It’s tight. One win changes the mood completely.

There’s also a bit of contrast in the story. Motor have built a solid platform at home and arrive unbeaten in six league games, while Raków come in with a heavier schedule and a patchy run of results, though their away record still ranks among the best in the division. The visitors have also had European and cup distractions, which can cut both ways. Legs go. Focus drifts. But quality can still surface in the key moments.

For Mateusz Stolarski’s side, this is a chance to leapfrog a direct rival and keep the pressure on the teams above them. For Lukasz Tomczyk’s Raków, it’s about stopping the slide, protecting their place in the top six and reminding everyone that a messy spell doesn’t erase a stronger league profile over the season. Neither side can really afford a flat afternoon.

Motor Lublin Form & Analysis

Motor’s recent league form has been tidy rather than spectacular, but it’s the sort of run that keeps a team in the conversation. They began the month with a 1-1 draw away to Radomiak Radom on 6 April, and that result followed a very different kind of away win at Bruk-Bet Termalica Nieciecza, where they nicked a 2-1 victory on 13 March. Before that, they handled Zagłębie Lubin 1-0 at home, ground out a goalless draw with Górnik Zabrze, beat MKS Korona Kielce 2-0 at their own ground, and won 2-1 away at Piast Gliwice. That’s six league matches without a defeat. Properly steady.

There’s a pattern there too. Motor aren’t blowing teams away, but they’re difficult to pin down and even harder to shake off once they settle. The recent draw at Radomiak backed that up in a slightly uneasy way: they went behind in the balance of play, yet still took a point, and the underlying numbers tell the same sort of story — 1.17 expected goals of their own against 1.82 conceded, with Radomiak having more big chances. They didn’t dominate, but they didn’t fold either. That has become part of their identity under Stolarski. They keep hanging around.

At home, Motor have been better than their overall position suggests. Eleven home matches have brought five wins, seven draws and only two defeats, with 19 scored and 15 conceded at their own ground. That’s a decent return, and it tells you why they’re rarely easy to beat in Lublin. The flip side? Too many draws, and not quite enough punch to turn control into a cleaner winning habit. They’ve also shown a tendency to keep games relatively restrained — four of their last five have gone under 2.5 goals. So if they get into a scrappy rhythm early, don’t expect fireworks for the sake of it.

Raków Częstochowa Form & Analysis

Raków’s broader league position still looks respectable, but the recent run is messy. Their last six across all competitions read like a team stuck between standards and disruption. They drew 1-1 with Widzew Łódź in the league on 4 April, then came back from the international break with another 1-1 at Legia Warszawa on 22 March. Sandwiched between those were the Conference League ties with Fiorentina — a 2-1 defeat in Florence and a 1-2 loss at home — and a bruising 3-1 league defeat at Górnik Zabrze. Most recently, they drew 3-3 with GKS Katowice in the Polish Cup after a wild, open evening. That’s six games without a win.

Mind you, that doesn’t mean they’ve been poor across the board. Raków are still 6th, still only a point ahead of Motor, and still carrying an away record that stands out. On their travels in the league they’ve collected six wins, two draws and six defeats, scoring 22 and conceding 22. That’s the kind of split that says they can absolutely hurt sides away from home, but they’re not immune to being drawn into open contests. They’ve scored in plenty of those road matches, and their matches away from home have rarely been cagey for long.

The goal issue at the back is the worry. Raków haven’t kept a clean sheet in seven straight games, and that’s a glaring problem for a side with higher ambitions. Even in the cup draw with GKS Katowice, they were dragged into a six-goal mess and needed late drama just to keep the night alive. That kind of game can leave a mark. The good news is they’re still creating enough to score, and they’ve found the net in seven straight matches across all competitions. The bad news is simple. They’re always giving something away. Against a home side as steady as Motor, that’s a dangerous habit.

Head-to-Head

Raków have had the better of this matchup for a while, and that matters here because the recent meetings have leaned in the same direction. In October 2025, they beat Motor 2-0 in Częstochowa. Earlier that year, Motor managed a 2-2 draw at Raków, which was probably their best recent result in the fixture, but it came after Raków had already beaten them 2-0 in Lublin in July 2024 and 3-0 in the Polish Cup back in March 2023.

The pattern is pretty clear. Raków tend to control this matchup, while Motor have usually struggled to keep them quiet for 90 minutes. Even so, the more recent 2-2 and the way Raków have been defending lately pull this away from a simple away-win angle. Motor have at least shown they can find a goal in the contest, and Raków haven’t exactly been locking doors.

We Predict: Both Teams To Score

We’re backing Both Teams To Score at 8/13 here, and it’s the cleanest angle on the board. Raków have gone seven matches without a clean sheet, Motor have scored in enough of their recent outings to trust them at home, and both sides come into this one with decent attacking numbers but obvious defensive leaks. That combination usually lands on goals at both ends. Not a mystery.

The price reflects the shape of the game too. Motor’s home record is strong enough to suggest they won’t be overawed, while Raków’s away form tells you they’re almost always good for a chance or two on the road. A 1-1 draw feels the likeliest scoreline, and it fits the current mood of both teams: Motor hard to beat, Raków still capable of scoring but not solid enough to shut anyone down. If you want a little more risk, the draw has appeal as a separate angle, but BTTS is the sharper call.
