Match form loads a moment after the page opens so the main prediction can appear first; recent results are fetched right after.

Catanzaro — Last 6 matches
Monza — Last 6 matches

Catanzaro bring plenty of scoring punch into Monday’s Serie B meeting, with six straight league games going over 2.5 goals and six in a row where both teams have scored. Their home record also points to open matches, with 25 goals scored and 15 conceded in 15 home league fixtures, so they rarely keep things tight at Stadio Nicola Ceravolo.

Monza have been slightly more controlled, but their recent run still includes a 4-2 defeat at Spezia, a 3-0 home win over Palermo, and a 1-1 draw with Venezia. They have gone three league games unbeaten since that loss, while their away record of 21 goals scored and 16 conceded in 16 trips suggests they are capable of contributing to a high total rather than shutting the game down.

The expected goals projection of 1.4 for Catanzaro and 1.2 for Monza also fits an open contest, even if it sits just short of a very high-scoring script. Catanzaro’s last home games and Monza’s away numbers both lean towards chances at either end, and the 2-1 head-to-head in Monza earlier this season shows these sides can produce a narrow but productive scoreline.

There is a little tension from Monza’s steadier defensive return overall, and their recent 0-0 draw at Reggiana shows they can slow games down when needed. Even so, Catanzaro’s home scoring rate, their run of six straight over 2.5 goals, and their six-match streak of Both Teams To Score results are hard to ignore when weighing up this market.

My prediction is Over 2.5 Goals at 17/20. Catanzaro have gone over 2.5 goals in all of their last six league matches, their last six in Serie B have also all seen both teams score, and their home record is built on 25 goals for in 15 games. Monza have allowed 16 away goals this season, while their recent away trips include a 4-2 loss at Spezia and a 1-1 draw at Venezia, which keeps the total-goals angle live.
