Universitario de Deportes — Last 6 matches
Alianza Lima — Last 6 matches

Universitario de Deportes come into the derby unbeaten in their last two, but their recent scoring has been modest enough to keep this in low-scoring territory. They were held 0-0 away to Comerciantes Unidos on 21 March, and before that they managed just two goals at home against Universidad Técnica de Cajamarca. Three of their last four league games have finished with no more than two goals, which fits a tight contest rather than an open one.

Alianza Lima are still unbeaten in the league, yet their away numbers also point toward caution rather than a shootout. They have conceded only two goals in four league trips, and their latest away result was a 1-1 draw at Deportivo Garcilaso. Even in the 2-0 home win over ADC Juan Pablo II, the clean sheet was a bigger feature than any sustained attacking exchange.

The head-to-head record also leans toward a restrained derby. Six of the last seven meetings have stayed under 2.5 goals, including the 0-0 in August 2025 and two 1-1 draws. Universitario’s home record is unbeaten, while Alianza’s away record is unbeaten too, so neither side is likely to be forced into reckless attacking play early on.

That said, the projected 1.1 xG apiece and the 1-1 score forecast leave a small tension with a BTTS-No call, because both teams are capable of finding a goal. The stronger angle is that both defences have been difficult to break down, and recent league games for each side have more often finished with one team shutting the other out than with both sides scoring.

My prediction is BTTS - No at 67/100. Universitario have just one goal conceded at home in four league matches, Alianza have allowed only four goals in eight league games overall, and the derby trend is six of the last seven meetings ending under 2.5 goals. Add in Alianza’s two clean sheets in their last three league outings, and a side failing to score looks more likely than both teams landing.
