Match form loads a moment after the page opens so the main prediction can appear first; recent results are fetched right after.

Mito Hollyhock — Last 6 matches
Kashima Antlers — Last 6 matches

Mito Hollyhock come into this on mixed domestic form, with one win, two draws and three losses in their last six league matches. The main concern for a BTTS - No angle is that they have only scored eight league goals in eight games, and their most recent outing ended in a 3-0 defeat at Kashiwa Reysol with no shots on target. At home, though, they have been harder to break down, going unbeaten in three league matches and conceding only twice in that run.

Kashima Antlers arrive in much stronger shape, with six straight league wins and only four goals conceded in the league all season. They have kept three clean sheets in their last four matches and have also won both away league games without conceding more than once. That kind of defensive record is exactly what matters for a no-goals-for-one-side selection, especially against a Mito side whose recent home scoring has been modest.

The numbers also lean towards Kashima controlling the game rather than turning it into a high-scoring shootout. Their away league record is two wins from two, with seven goals scored and three conceded, while Mito’s home return is only three goals scored across three matches. Even if the xG projection of 1.3 to 1.0 leaves some room for a one-goal contest to become more open, the scoring profiles still point more strongly to one side being held out than to both teams finding the net.

There is a little tension because Mito’s home games have not been wildly open, and their last six league matches include two 1-1 draws, which is why a narrow scoreline like 1-1 cannot be dismissed completely. Even so, Kashima’s six-match winning run and their current habit of shutting opponents down carry more weight for this market than Mito’s recent ability to scrap for draws.

My prediction is BTTS - No at 4/5. Kashima Antlers have kept three clean sheets in their last four league matches and concede very little away from home, while Mito Hollyhock have managed only eight league goals in eight games and drew a blank in their 3-0 loss at Kashiwa Reysol. Mito’s home scoring is also light, with just three goals in three league matches at home, so one side failing to score looks the likelier outcome.
