Match form loads a moment after the page opens so the main prediction can appear first; recent results are fetched right after.

Ningbo FC — Last 6 matches
Wuxi Wugou — Last 6 matches

Ningbo FC go into this one in poor shape, with six straight league defeats and only one goal scored across their last two Chinese League 1 games. Their most recent outing ended 2-1 away to Guangxi Hengchen FC, but the underlying numbers were grim: just 0.53 xG, 4 shots, and 17 conceded, which is not the profile of a side ready to dictate a home result. Wuxi Wugou arrive in far better nick, though, after a 4-0 home win over Shenzhen Juniors FC and a run that includes four wins from their last six in all competitions.

The market tilt towards Ningbo is still worth noting because Wuxi’s away sample is not yet established in the league, and Ningbo have beaten them in three of the last four head-to-head meetings. Even so, those H2H wins were all tight, and the current form gap is clear. Wuxi have scored six without reply in their two latest league matches, while Ningbo have been first to concede in six straight games, a worrying habit when trying to protect a home lead.

There is also a slight tension with the xG projection, which comes out at 1.3 for Ningbo and 1.1 for Wuxi, so this is not a dominant home outlook. But Ningbo’s recent defeats have often been competitive rather than one-sided, and Wuxi’s perfect defensive return in their opening league games can be tested away from home. If Ningbo can turn their stronger head-to-head record into an early advantage, this match can lean their way even against a visitor in better overall form.

Wuxi’s recent league results are impressive, but they have come in a small sample, and Ningbo’s home record is still a blank slate rather than a source of damage. The league averages also point to a fairly modest scoring environment away from home, with visiting sides averaging just over one goal per match. That keeps a home victory within reach if Ningbo finally show more control in both boxes.

My prediction is Home Win at 13/10. Ningbo have taken three of the last four meetings with Wuxi, Wuxi’s away league record is still unproven, and Ningbo’s xG projection of 1.3 is slightly ahead of Wuxi’s 1.1. Their long losing run is a concern, but the matchup history and the narrow margins in the expected numbers still point to a home success.
