Match form loads a moment after the page opens so the main prediction can appear first; recent results are fetched right after.

Zhejiang — Last 6 matches
Chongqing Tonglianglong FC — Last 6 matches

Zhejiang come into this fixture with four games unbeaten in league play, including a 4-1 away win over Qingdao Hainiu on 20 March and a 1-1 home draw with Shanghai Shenhua. Their recent results have been lively enough for goal-minded bets, with all but one of their last six producing at least three goals, and their home record still shows three goals scored and only one conceded. That profile fits an open match more than a cautious one.

Chongqing Tonglianglong FC are also hard to shift, with nine league matches unbeaten and five of their last six finishing with under 2.5 goals. Even so, their most recent outing ended 3-3 against Chengdu Rongcheng, and that game matched a recent pattern of them getting into competitive scorelines rather than shutting opponents out for long periods. Away from home they have only one point so far, but they have still avoided defeat on their travels.

The numbers point to a contest where both sides should create enough to keep the scoreboard moving. Zhejiang have scored seven and conceded two in their first three league matches, while Chongqing have four goals scored and three conceded, which is not the profile of a tight, low-event meeting. The projected 2-1 scoreline and combined xG of 2.6 lean slightly in the same direction, although the away side’s recent run of five unders in six does leave a small caution around the total.

Zhejiang’s strongest support comes from their home output and their recent scoring rhythm. They have found the net in each of their league games so far, while Chongqing’s latest draw with Chengdu showed they can contribute away from home as well as at home. With Zhejiang averaging enough chances at home and Chongqing already involved in a 3-3 and a 1-0 this month, an open game feels more likely than a controlled one.

My prediction is Over 2.5 Goals at 1/2. Zhejiang have seen plenty of higher-scoring matches recently, Chongqing’s last league game finished 3-3, and both teams have shown enough attacking output in the opening part of the season to support a three-goal line. The away side’s recent under run is the main tension, but Zhejiang’s home scoring and Chongqing’s ability to get on the board keep the over in play.
